1. Why should I pay
for your training & equipment?
Hood Cleaning School TM specializes in "in the
field", "on the job", "live one on one training". If you want to be a
successful kitchen grease exhaust cleaning company, then you're not going to do it sitting in a classroom listening to someone
tell you how to clean hoods and then take you on a tour and let you watch
other people clean hoods.
What you need to ask our competitors is, "How many hoods am I going to get
to clean from start to finish by myself while I'm attending your school?" We are the only company that
provides such intensive one on one training in the field on kitchen grease
exhaust cleaning. No other company provides such intensive in the
field training. If you want to learn how to start your kitchen exhaust
cleaning business, then our training will absolutely be the best option for
you. Back

2.
How do I become a Certified Hood &
Duct Cleaner from Hood Cleaning School?
You must attend our

140 question written exam to become certified. Once you are certified from
Certified Hood & Duct Cleaners Association you may then
open and operate your own hood & duct cleaning company. Back

3. What does certification
mean?
When you are a "Certified
Hood & Duct Cleaner" it means that you have been properly trained,
are now qualified and have obtained certification from Certified Hood &
Duct Cleaner's Association using the NFPA 96 Standards as our guidelines. Also, the AHJ, authority
having jurisdiction, will recognize that you are "qualified" to
clean the kitchen grease exhaust system's of commercial cooking establishments. It means
that you have attained a certain knowledge/skill level in the field of kitchen
grease exhaust cleaning, which should hold them responsible as a competent Hood & Duct
Cleaner. The
"authority having jurisdiction" will either be the Fire Marshal or
other person given the task of verifying that the commercial cooking
establishments are having their hoods and ducts cleaned properly. It also
means that you have passed the 140 written question exam from
Certified Hood & Duct Cleaners Association.
To renew your certification each year, you simply submit 10 before/after
pictures sets from 10 different restaurants, letters of reference from
your current customers, and proof of insurance. If you are a Lifetime
CHDCA Member, there is no cost. If you are an Annual CHDCA Member, you
will have to pay $250 each year to renew your Annual Certification. Back

hiring/ firing people to clean your restaurants. Because it is just you
running your business there will be no expenses related to renting office space,
office equipment, computers, phone lines, property taxes etc. You will run
